Planning A Vintage Wedding

Planning a vintage themed wedding could be a very fun time and with so many websites online and vintage and second hand shops the ideas are practically endless! First think of the dress. There are many second hand stores and websites you can try to find the perfect authentic vintage dress at. There is also the idea of buying a new dress with a vintage feel. Either should prove to dazzle you! Add a classic veil and keep with the theme for the rest of the bridal party. Then the decorations. Think to the era you would like to explore. Again, you can use second hand shops to make classic and unique picks. This could also help to defray the cost of the wedding (if you look in the right places of course). Then think out of the box to make the special day a little more perfect for you. You can rent a classic car and tie up the tin cans to the bumper for a beautiful and tasteful exit from your party.

Just remember that it is your wedding and you should have fun in planning it as well as enjoying that special day. Good luck!

Both images and dresses are from thefrock.com, go on over and check out their gorgeous vintage selections. Who knows, the perfect dress may be waiting there for you.

What To Take On Your Honeymoon

We sit and plan continuously over the ceremony and reception. We go over and over our special day, so at the end of it all, all you want to do is relax...in paradise!

The honeymoon is a time to do nothing but relax and enjoy time alone together being newlyweds. When packing and preparing for the trip, all you have to remember are your flip-flops, bathing suit (personal preference of course), comfy clothes and maybe a nice dress or outfit for a dinner out with the new hubby! This is something to not fret over and rather something to just enjoy!

Here's a Styleboard of some fun things to take along with you on your honeymoon...
just sit back, relax, and enjoy your time as Mr. & Mrs.

Ice Cream Jars -- Wedding Favors

Here comes ANOTHER DIY project. I just cannot help myself, I love to look and search for these adorable things that make someone's wedding just perfect! So as I was taking a gander on www.stylemepretty.com I came across yet another amazing DIY idea. And I know I know summer is almost over, but I had to squeeze in at least one more idea for a warm, summer wedding.

Ice Cream Favors!! Now I know you are thinking...okay so you just said a WARM summer wedding, so why would you make ice cream a favor it would just melt. But AH HA it's ice cream, but it's not made just yet. Take a look...

Now seriously...how awesome is that? It's the perfect way to cool off after a warm summer day! Not only does it look adorable sitting there on the table for all the guests, but it will be delicious as well...well that actually depends on if they can make it right! :) Which I'm sure they will because it is such a simple process that most anyone can follow! So don't worry, you will get your treat! :)

If you are interested and want to find out how to prepare these jars of delight, visit www.stylemepretty.com under the DIY PROJECTS tab.

Rock Seating Assignments

I recently attended the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to a few weeks ago. From the bride to the decorations, everything was perfect. The wedding was outside and the weather cooperated perfectly. Every little detail about the wedding was fantastic. While I was there a little DIY inspired idea caught my eye. For the name tags for place setting during the reception, they had names and table numbers written on rocks. And these rocks were placed on a table and they were surrounded by moss. It was such a little detail of the wedding but I found it to be absolutely adorable.

This is such a cute idea and it gives your wedding a little uniqueness. There are so many beautiful arrangements that people come up with. This is just one that I saw first-hand and absolutely loved!

Wedding Budget

Weddings are expensive. There is no way around that. But what would you be willing to spend the most money on? What aspect of your wedding would be most important to you?

For me, the most important thing I would want to have would be a great photographer. They are the ones who are capturing your special memories and allowing them to last forever. Choosing the right photographer for your wedding is crucial. The pictures they take will last a lifetime.

A way to make your wedding possibly a little cheaper but still keeping it elegant would be to incorporate some DIY ideas. Not only do you get to add a little uniqueness to your wedding but you get to potentially save a little money in the process. The money you save could be money you put towards other important wedding details. A website you can visit to take a look at some DIY projects and weddings that used them is: www.stylemepretty.com. This website has some awesome ideas and also beautiful pictures.

I want to know what will be the aspect that you will spend the most money on for your wedding. Or if you already had your wedding, what did you spend the most money on and were you happy that you did? Did you use any DIY projects that really turned out? I'm eager to hear what you all have to say!

Side Veils

Beautiful, elegant, and eye-catching. These are just a few words to describe the side veil accessory. Side veils are not your everyday, traditional wedding veil, but they are adorable and they add a little twist to your gown. They are beautiful and also simple so that you are not taking away from your gorgeous wedding dress.

Here are a few pictures I found to show you just how gorgeous these veils are:

There are so many different styles and ways to wear the side veils that you can find the perfect one for you.
