Ice Cream Jars -- Wedding Favors

Here comes ANOTHER DIY project. I just cannot help myself, I love to look and search for these adorable things that make someone's wedding just perfect! So as I was taking a gander on www.stylemepretty.com I came across yet another amazing DIY idea. And I know I know summer is almost over, but I had to squeeze in at least one more idea for a warm, summer wedding.

Ice Cream Favors!! Now I know you are thinking...okay so you just said a WARM summer wedding, so why would you make ice cream a favor it would just melt. But AH HA it's ice cream, but it's not made just yet. Take a look...

Now seriously...how awesome is that? It's the perfect way to cool off after a warm summer day! Not only does it look adorable sitting there on the table for all the guests, but it will be delicious as well...well that actually depends on if they can make it right! :) Which I'm sure they will because it is such a simple process that most anyone can follow! So don't worry, you will get your treat! :)

If you are interested and want to find out how to prepare these jars of delight, visit www.stylemepretty.com under the DIY PROJECTS tab.

Rock Seating Assignments

I recently attended the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to a few weeks ago. From the bride to the decorations, everything was perfect. The wedding was outside and the weather cooperated perfectly. Every little detail about the wedding was fantastic. While I was there a little DIY inspired idea caught my eye. For the name tags for place setting during the reception, they had names and table numbers written on rocks. And these rocks were placed on a table and they were surrounded by moss. It was such a little detail of the wedding but I found it to be absolutely adorable.

This is such a cute idea and it gives your wedding a little uniqueness. There are so many beautiful arrangements that people come up with. This is just one that I saw first-hand and absolutely loved!

Wedding Budget

Weddings are expensive. There is no way around that. But what would you be willing to spend the most money on? What aspect of your wedding would be most important to you?

For me, the most important thing I would want to have would be a great photographer. They are the ones who are capturing your special memories and allowing them to last forever. Choosing the right photographer for your wedding is crucial. The pictures they take will last a lifetime.

A way to make your wedding possibly a little cheaper but still keeping it elegant would be to incorporate some DIY ideas. Not only do you get to add a little uniqueness to your wedding but you get to potentially save a little money in the process. The money you save could be money you put towards other important wedding details. A website you can visit to take a look at some DIY projects and weddings that used them is: www.stylemepretty.com. This website has some awesome ideas and also beautiful pictures.

I want to know what will be the aspect that you will spend the most money on for your wedding. Or if you already had your wedding, what did you spend the most money on and were you happy that you did? Did you use any DIY projects that really turned out? I'm eager to hear what you all have to say!

Beautiful, elegant, and eye-catching. These are just a few words to describe the side veil accessory. Side veils are not your everyday, traditional wedding veil, but they are adorable and they add a little twist to your gown. They are beautiful and also simple so that you are not taking away from your gorgeous wedding dress.

Here are a few pictures I found to show you just how gorgeous these veils are:

DIY Guestbook Idea

This amazing DIY wedding project has to be one of the cutest ones I have seen! This is such a great idea. What couple doesn't want advice from their guests. Also instead of having to hear all of them say it to you, they can express it in writing. What happens is when your guests arrive at your reception, they will receive a slip of paper. They will give you some words of wisdom or just a little something they wanted you to know. Then hang it on the tree.
This picture came from the blog of www.onewed.com.

These are such a great idea and they also make for a beautiful centerpiece. I'm sure you will appreciate all of the advice you get before you begin your journey with your special someone. These would be extremely fun to put together and I'm sure your guests would be more than happy to tell you a little something!

This idea came from MyDIYWeddingDay.

The beautiful colors that the luggage comes in allows them to be easily spotted when you are searching for yours at the airport. The set comes with a 10 year warranty so it can be with you on all of your journeys through life. You can find this set on Macy's website: http://www.macys.com/.

Documentation
When traveling over countries borders you need to make sure you have the proper documentation. You need to keep your passport, drivers license, plane tickets, credit cards, and cash close by. You need to be sure to have these essentials with you at all times.

Carry-On Bag
Having a carry-on is extremely important while traveling. On a long flight you will be happy that you packed snacks, games, or anything you can entertain yourself with. Having the right bag is an essential part to your trip.

Clothing
You want to make sure to pack light so you dont have to carry heavy luggage back and forth from place to place. Also you need to pack versitile clothing for when you go back and forth between climates. Also packing clothing that you can dress up for things such as dates and dinner or you can dress down for maybe a day of shopping or just hanging out. Sundresses are perfect for this because you can dress them up with a pair of heels and accesories or you can dress them down with a pair of flip-flops and a sun hat!

Shoes
Make sure whatever shoes you pack are comfortable. Being comfortable on your trip is very important. If you bring along high heels make sure that you can wear them without pain. Also you will want to take along a comfortable pair of walking shoes, casual shoes, and posibly some cute strappy heels!

Toiletries
Make sure you bring all of your products in travel size containers! Always remember that less is ALWAYS better! Travel airlines can be very picky so make sure to do this. Bring along only the things that you know you will need during your trip.

Hair Appliances
Girls, we may have to leave at least one of our appliances at home. I know, tragic. But call the hotel that you will be staying at to see what kind of appliances they already have in the room. Our appliances can take up a lot of room in our bags so leaving them at home can save us space for other important things.

Beach Basics
When traveling to tropical places you can't forget to pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, and bathing suits! Also cute cover ups are essential so that you can quickly go from laying out to going to eat.

Proof
When on your honeymoon you will be having the time of your life! You need to make sure to get pictures to show everyone and to have your memories with you forever. And don't forget extra batteries!!
